The eight-piece, multi-cultural group Zili Misik took top honors in the final competition.

Performing both original compositions and traditional folksongs, Zili Misik features elements of the music of Africa, Haiti, Cuba and other genres. The group's name honors a Haitian spiritual entity, Ezili, embodying the triad of mother, lover and warrior. Group members include lead singer Rajdulari, instrumentalist and songwriter Kera M. Washington, keyboardist Hinako Sato, guitarist Lexi Havlin, saxphonist Joy Roster, trumpeter Krystal Johnson, bassist Joanna Maria, and drummers Jobeth Umali, Genesis Rubin, and Kari Flango. A number of the band's members are graduates of Berklee College of Music.

As winners of the Battle of the All-Female Bands, Zili Misik received a Luna Guitars Andromeda Phoenix electric guitar. The instrument is named for its striking abalone inlay of a legendary phoenix rising. In addition, the band was showcased at the ROCKRGRL Women of Valor Award evening on April 20th that honored the pioneering female rock group Fanny. Zili Misik also earned an opportunity to be booked by college talent representatives nationwide, received studio time at Berklee, and was given a consultation with a professional publicist among other prizes.
