Kimberly Hall
A former elementary school teacher, Kimberly Hall had to give up that job when she opted for a career in music. "The kids were fabulous," she says. "I loved teaching but could not play late [gigs] and then get up for work the next morning. I decided that I would choose music. Maybe it chose me. I can't imagine not playing and writing."
If the talented and expressive singer's melodies sound familiar, perhaps it's because she's already had tremendous success on television and in movies. Crediting Sheryl Crow and Patsy Cline among her inspirations, Kimberly's tunes "Wait" and "Until You're Here" made it into the DVD box set of the WB network's Felicity:Senior Year. Her "Leave" backed TV ads for a Nicholas Cage film, and other songs have gotten airtime on several MTV shows. Kimberly's also performed the theme song for the Discovery Channel's Garage Takeover.
As a child, Kimberly sang with her family at weddings and church, then later went on to sing backup and lead vocals in a pop/rock band. She now performs solo and occasionally pairs with fellow acoustic artist Jodi Harman to perform at conferences, music festivals and other gigs.
In an impressive show of girl power, Kimberly learned her first chords from her guitar-playing mom. She also learned piano as a kid and even dabbled in flute playing. Talking about what led her to Luna Guitars, Kimberly says, "As soon as I saw them I was hooked. The designs were perfect." She plays a Luna Henna guitar onstage and says she loves the design. The guitar "fits perfectly for my frame," Kimberly explains. "I am 5'2", and let's just say most guitars were a bit overpowering. This one is just right. And from the first show with my Luna I had people remarking how cool this guitar looked."

Her words of wisdom for aspiring musicians? "As I get older I realize it's important find out what you're passionate about," she says. "It can take some time, but when you find it, it will be with you the rest of your life. It's all about making great music and enjoying yourself in the process."
Luna is pleased to call Kimberly Hall a Luna Artist.
