On December 11, 2008, Luna participated in a day-long conference called "I Will Survive: Making it in the Music Business" at the Institute for Musical Arts (IMA) in Goshen, Massachusetts. The event featured a keynote speech by Robin Lane of Robin Lane and the Chartbusters, whose video for the hit song, "When Things Go Wrong" was broadcast on MTV's very first day in business. Other speakers and panelists included June Millington of Fanny, Beth Tallman of Rykodisc Records, artists Nini Camps and Sonya Kitchell and Kudisan Kai, publicist/manager Emily Lichter of Public Emily, ROCKRGRL Magazine founder Carla DeSantis, IMA Executive Director Ann Hackler, Brooke Primont of Cherry Lane Publishing and many more.
