How do I get started?

We will have winners in both digital and hand assembly categories. We will pick the best overall design for the Florida trip and a Yourspace guitar, while the runner up will get a Yourspace guitar. Submissions will be featured online when the winner is announced.

Digital Assembly
Go to www.lunaguitars.com/yourspacepickguard and select "Digital Assembly".

On step 2 - choose template # 2. On step 5 - be sure to keep the template layer turned ON to use as a guide instead of the clear pick guard in the final instructions.

Please note - It is not necessary to punch out the pick guard screw holes or knobs for your submission.

Hand Assembly
1. If you wish to make a hand collage, start on our instruction page at: www.lunaguitars.com/yourspacepickguard

2. The YourSpace guitars come with blank templates, but you can download one from step 2 on the "Digital Assembly" choice.

On step 2 - choose template #2 and print on heavy paper (color of your choice) to produce your hand assembled art work.

Be sure to print an extra template that you can cut out ahead of time to use as a guide instead of the clear pick guard in the final instructions.

Option #1 If you have 11" x 17" paper and a printer with "Tabloid" settings, you can print the template directly.

Option #2 Copy to a flash drive or CD and take to your local office supply/printing store. Ask for an 11" x 17" borderless print to ensure that the image is not scaled down during the printing process. Experiment with color and paper types to enhance your design.

3. Go back to the "Hand Assembly" choice and follow instructions. Please note: It is not necessary to punch out the pick guard screw holes or knobs for your submission.

What materials are not OK to include in my artwork?

Because of copyright laws, since your collage is not just for personal use and we will be displaying on the web, we must require that your artwork does not contain ANY elements of copyrighted material, unless you yourself own the copyright (i.e. it's your own art). You CANNOT include samples of art by other artists, or images from movies, TV shows, video games, etc. Any artwork containing these elements will be rejected during the approval process. Please understand that it is not our wish to impose these restrictions on your creativity or the functionality of this site, but we have no choice in the matter.

Where can I find material for my entries?

This thread in this Photoshop forum contains a valuable list of potential source sites. Note that you still need to check each image to ensure it is not copyrighted. Make sure that you have the owners' permission if you intend to use source material that is copyrighted. Otherwise you risk disqualification, and possible legal action from the copyright holder. http://www.worth1000.com/stories
