Shevonne Marie Philidor, also known as Shevizzle, is an American singer-songwriter, musician, producer, model, actress, and visual artist. The Tampa native, military brat of half-Haitian descent, is an entertainer who amazes audiences with her one-of-a-kind voice and true entertainer quality. Her strange on-stage mannerisms and creativity make her show one not to be missed. Each show is different, and you never know what your experience will be. Her funky vibe reveals a vast imagination and ultra-eclectic musical knowledge which translates into her original self-written, self-produced, self-titled album Shevizzle, which is full of so many different genres and styles, that it cannot be compared to any other. Shevonnes musically genius mind has helped her achieve some feats that others only dream of. Shes appeared on 4 TV shows: Americas Most Talented Kids, Americas Got Talent (Wild Card Round) and 2 appearances on American Idol (Top 40). She was also awarded the NFAA National Scholarship in musical theatre and toured the country as part of Todrick Halls National Tour of OZ the Musical. Shevonne performs at Music Festivals and venues across the country and her entertainment level is often compared to Prince, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, all rolled into one. Where are you from and where do you currently reside?

I was Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and I currently live in Tampa, Florida.

What musical influences did you have growing up?

I grew up listening to all kinds of music but mainly these artists: Prince, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Queen.

What inspired you to start making music or pick up an instrument?

Prince Played guitar so I wanted to play guitar - I'm self-taught! prince also wrote all his own music so that inspired me to want to write, produce and perform everything so that's what I did.

Was there a moment in time when you decided "this is what I want to do with my life"?

I told my mom I wanted to be as big as Michael Jackson when I was 5 years old, haha! I've always known I would be a singer. Started performing on stage regularly at 8 years old and was on Americas Most talented kids at 13 sang in a few bands for a few years and I've just been chasing it my whole life. I had a period in life where I had a "regular Job" I was 19 when I decided I was going to do music full time. So, I saved my money bought a bunch of equipment quit my job and started DJ'ing I used that money and invested it back into my music. In 2010, I started a band (Shevonne & The force ) and I've been playing shows and performing all around the country!

I like Instagram because I'm a visual person and I'd rather just look at a picture and appreciate for what it is, versus read someone's opinion all the time on most other social networks!

What role does music play in your life currently?

Music is everything in my life! I do it full time and there's not a day that I'm not working.

What helps spark your creativity or motivation?

Watching Movies / documentaries or traveling and Adventuring through nature. I love exploring everything! I love reading conspiracy theories and space and just learning something new.

What interested you about the Luna brand?

I loved the female appeal Luna and, the quality and uniqueness of the guitars! Also, I love the connection with the moon! I'm a huge space nerd and if I wasn't a musician, I would be an astronaut.

Which Luna instruments do you play now and what attracted you to these models?

I'm currently playing the Hide Tide Zebrawood Grand Concert! She's just a simply beautiful guitar. I love the zebrawood and the abalone shell accents!

If you could play alongside an artist living or deceased, who would it be and why?

I would love to play at wood stock! I love nothing more than huge wild crowds that love music! The artist who played at Woodstock were iconic and just the entire energy and movement behind it was iconic.

Which genre of music fits your playing style the most?

Soul, Rock, Pop ... My style includes a mixture of multiple genres.

What's on the horizon for you?

More music and touring!!
